25 Years Creative
PROJECT 18: The Mill House Melbourne
CLIENT: Millett Group
YEAR: 2015
Another one-of-a-kind project with the Millett Group. We were engaged to help them transform the basement of 277 Flinders Lane in Melbourne which was originally built as a flour mill in 1851. As we researched the building, we discovered a dramatic story centred around the de Graves family which inspired every aspect of our creative response.
We designed the visual identity to reflect the decorative style of the Victorian era and we created a visual language based around word puzzles which were popular during Victorian times.
LASTING MEMORY: Our first site visit – the derelict basement had previously been operating as an underground goth club.
